Uploading and Linking Documents to a Lease
Uploading Documents
Each tab within the Leases feature has a section for Documents. You can upload any electronic version of a document and associate it with the current lease you are working in. For example, if you are on the Lease tab you would upload the Original Lease, Amendments and Addendums to the original lease etc and these documents will be “tagged” as Lease documents. Just as if you are in the Insurance tab and upload insurance related documents, these will be “tagged” as Insurance documents for the current lease you are working in. These tags will come in handy when you need to inventory the documents you have for each lease, which is available in the Report Center.
Adding a Document: (from a file)
NOTE: The file name cannot have any special characters in it. Please remove any special characters prior to uploading document into iLeasePro
Prerequisite: A list of Document Types comes out of the box with iLeasePro so you can begin using this feature once you subscribe. But your administrator should use the iLeasePro Administration pages to setup the actual Document Types that your firm uses to ensure consistency across all leases.
- Click on the ADD NEW button in the Documents Section
- A window will open up and allow you to browse your computer folders. When the document you would like to upload is found, click Open to upload.
- Select the correct Document Type
- You can change the name of the document or keep it the same
- Enter in any annotation to further support the document
- Click on SAVE button
Adding a Document: (from a SmartPhone or Tablet)
While on a SmartPhone or Tablet, iLeasePro gives you the option to take a picture and upload it to the Document Management repository.
- Click on the ADD NEW button in the Documents Section
- Select "Take Photo"
