Example Import
We will use the Account Cost Centers as an example.
Click on Export Template. This will instruct the import feature to create and download the "smart" excel template for the data selected.
Open the template that was downloaded and enter your data. We say "smart" because each template will contain some fields, where available, that have dropdown lists for you to select the data from. Fields will also have hints or tips to help you entering or selecting the data.
Important Notes when adding data to the template
1. The only special characters that will be accepted are (-_().,). You should remove all other special characters from the data entered in the template.
2. You cannot paste data over any field that has a dropdown list
If a field has a dropdown box associated with it, you must select from one of the values in the list
Enter in the data that you want to import for the data type selected.
Once the data has been entered into the template, you will import the template file on the iLeasePro Import Service. Click on the Import icon and retrieve the data file to import. You can Browse for File on your computer or Drag and Drop the file on the page.
Your data will be imported and displayed for your verification with totals that you can use to help ensure accuracy of what you expected.
If there any errors the Total Invalid Rows will show a number greater than zero. You can click on the Show Error Rows Only button and only the rows with errors will be displayed.
You can fix the errors on this page or you can cancel the import then fix in the template and re-import.
When all errors have been resolved, click on the Save button
A verification message box will be displayed. If you would like to continue with the import, click Yes. Otherwise you can cancel the import by clicking the Cancel button.
Upon a successful import, you will see the Total Rows Imported equals the Total Rows Read and the Total Rows in Table.
Go back to the Dashboard and you will see that the data you imported will be updated accordingly.
iLeasePro offers reports that you can use to verify the data that has been imported. You should review each report after you import the data.
Once you have completed the import process, you should run the Lease Health Report to determine if there are any data errors within the leases that were imported.
